Description

The Packo's Panther 5k run/walk will be held on March 10th, 2024 at 9 am. The race will begin on  Whitmer drive and run throughout WLS neighborhoods and finish on the 50 yd line of Whitmer Memorial Stadium. With a paid $25 registration for this race, all runners will get a soft cotton race shirt, $5 gift certificate to Packos', a Tony Packo's hotdog, along with other food/drinks after the race.  Top 3 finishers of each age group will receive a Packos Panther mug.  The winning male and female of the 5k race will also sign a Tony Packo's bun and have it on display for a full year at the Secor Rd. store!!!! This race will help benefit Washington Local Cross country which is around 300 runners from 1st-12th grade and ALSO help start two  $500 scholarships for one male and female senior cross country runner from Whitmer High school. The race will begin in front of Washington Jr. high on Whitmer Drive. We are asking people to park at the stadium on Whitmer drive, in front of Jefferson, the CTC parking lot or in front of Whitmer on Clegg. Packet pickup will be at Packos Resturant on Secor rd. on Saturday, 3/9/24 from 4-6:30 pm, where we will be also having a race party to kick off the race. 50% of all sales that night will be given back to WLS cross country. At packet pickup we will also be having a raffle where one ticket for each runner can be filled out for a chance to win  a $200 catering package from Packos . Two winning tickets will be selected on race morning. No refunds for this race will be accepted once race fees are paid for.
