Aid Stations - There are two aid stations on course during the 13 mile loop with the first one coming at mile 4.7 and the 2nd one at mile 10.4. The Aid station will include such items: salt, crackers, cookies, pickles, oranges, water , tailwind, and soda. This is a CUPLESS event as runners are required to have their own hydration carrying bottles or packs. We gladly accept aid station donations of food items that you like to see at races. Our staff is very busy with course marking, timing, packet pickup, and communication with runners, that it does make it hard to prepare some amazing tasty treats in-between laps so feel free to contribute a little slice of heaven if you can! Thank you
The Road Race summits the top of Paris Mountain over Altamont Road. From the top you can see as far south as Reedy River in the Upstate and as far North as the Foothills and the Blue Ridge Mountains that extend into North Carolina. The road race will get your heart racing and your legs burning with climbs that ascend certain sections that reach 20% inclines! Do not worry the grind is worth the view but do not forget once you come off the summit at the half way point you get to turn around and do it again!
