Description

We are excited to announce the second year of our spring trail run, happening at a new trail location this year. The event will happen at the Horry County Panther Run trail which is behind the Carolina Forest Recreation Center. The Apex Trail Run will be a 5K (run or walk) and a 6 hour laps challenge. For this event we will have a competitive heat and a non competitive heat for the 5K to allow the faster participants to get out on the trail in front of the larger group. Registration for this event will be capped at 350 participants. The 6 hour laps challenge race will start at 7:50am and will continue running the 5K course until the 1:50pm cut off time. The overall winner of the race is the person completing the most laps in the shortest time. We will give away 1st, 2nd, 3rd place awards for both male and female categories. Each runner must start their last lap by 1:30pm. 

These trails are beginner friendly and flat but also provide a unique challenge and a fun trail experience with all of the switchbacks and grassy surfaces. All participants will receive a t-shirts and a commemorative finisher’s medal.

Competitive 5K 8:05am

Non-Competitive 5K 8:10am

Awards:
Awards will be given in the following categories for the 5k. Awards will be based on both the competitive and non-competitive groups for the 5K.  (Must be present to receive award, no mailing of awards) The 6-hour laps challenge will have awards for top three male and female only. 

Overall:
Male and Female 1st, 2nd, 3rd (5k and 10K)
