Update: The race has been rescheduled to Sunday, October 23rd.The Rotary Club of Bal Harbour and Bal Harbour Police Department is excited to announce our 6th Annual 5K Race/Walk will be held on Sunday, October 23rd, 2022!This race will run on USATF Certified Course FL21040JKAbout the RaceThis race will start and finish alongside the water in the beautiful Haulover Park! This is an out-and-back course running south on Collins Ave (A1A), turning around at 98 Street, in Bal Harbour, finishing back at Haulover Park. This course is perfect for runners searching for their next PR or those new to running!The race will be a major fundraiser by the Rotary Club of Bal Harbour and the Bal Harbour Police Department, in memory of Police Chief Mark N. Overton and Police Chief Miguel De La Rosa. All proceeds from the race will fund Scholarships for individuals aspiring for a career in Law Enforcement, by assisting with the costs associated with the police academy training and certification of a self-sponsored recruit in Miami-Dade County.T-Shirts & MedalsAll participants will receive a t-shirt, finisher medal & giveaways from our sponsors!AwardsAwards will be given to the top 3 Overall Male & Female Finishers and the top 3 male & female finishers in each age group:5 & Under, 6-10, 11-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & Over.TimingThis race will be chip timed by Southern Timing, LLC.
