16th Annual Woodlawn Run for a Cause

Description

The mission of the Woodlawn Run for a Cause is to raise awareness and funds for a variety of causes in the Bronx and Yonkers, while encouraging good physical health. Over the past 15 years, more than 2,500 runners and walkers have completed the 3.1 mile course. More importantly, more than $125,000 has been raised for many charities, including Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund, Children's Hospital at Montefiore Medical Center, Compassionate Care Hospice, Part of the Solution, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Calvary Hospital, Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, Bronx Community Health Network, Friends of Van Cortlandt Park, Mercy Center, Peace Outside Campus, Kalie Gill Family Foundation, National Brain Tumor Society, Ty Louis Campbell Foundation, HOPe Charity, Boomer Esiason Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, Quinn for the Win, Making Headway Foundation, and The Matthew Wallace Foundation.

We are happy to announce the 16th annual race will be held on Saturday, September 17th at 10 AM at Healey Field. Proceeds from this year's event will benefit Van Cortlandt Park Alliance and Hope and Heroes - Children's Cancer Fund

Event details and schedule

The race begins at 10:00am.

Race day registration and number/t-shirt pick-up with occur at Healy Field: 4420 Van Cortlandt Park East, Bronx, NY 10470.  This year, the post-race awards ceremony will take place at the exact same location. Awards will be provided to the top three overall males and females, along with finishers in the following age groups: Under 20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.

T-shirts will be given to the first 300 registrants.
