There is no better place to enjoy at 5K run/walk than Downtown Dunedin so join us as we gather at Weaver Park 1258 Bayshore Blvd. Dunedin, FL 34698. Dunedin is a city full of LOVE AND PRIDE that we want to share with all ages. The kid's dash runs begin at 8:30 am on the trail and the 5K will begin about 20 minutes later just before 9 a.m.

 

Be sure to pick up an armband if you are over age 21 to redeem at HOB Brewing Company anytime before noon on event day. 

 

The run/walk is a timed 5K distance and is open to all ages and levels of ability. We also welcome families so we are both kid and dog friendly. Register your child for the Kids Dash where they’ll receive their own “kid friendly” finisher’s medal different from the 5K medal. We call the registered children under age 10 out to the fully paved trail about 15 minutes prior to our 5K start to line them up for the kid’s dash run! We size the children up so that they are running with children about their size and they are never out of sight. It’s a very short run, but PACKED with fun, and parents ARE permitted to run along side their children.

 

An email will be sent to ALL registrant the day before the race before 2 pm which will include your bib number assignment along with your waiver to participate for you to print and bring with you on event morning. For those travelling or without a printer we will have waivers on site but bringing it with you moves check in much more quickly. Occasionally we have a few bad email addresss so if you don’t receive the final email the day before the race please email [email protected] and we’ll get it to you. Sometimes when you register multiple people only one person gets the Active.com confirmation but ALL registrants will need the email from Suzanne the day before the run.

 

Parking is encourage in downtown Dunedin at the artisan Artisan parking garage at 356 Monroe Street, Dunedin, FL 34698 then walk toward the venue using the Pinellas Trail heading north to Weaver Park. Volunteers are the only people who can use parking at Weaver but this location can also be use for those dropping someone off and for Uber or Lyft.

 

Check in is RACE MORNING ONLY and it is safe and touch FREE. Each registrants will receive one dry fit promotional run shirt and one awesome event theme’d finisher’s medal, as well as a free beer armband that can be redeemed after your run at HOB Brewing Co. Plan to arrive within one hour of race start then you will go directly to the table of your assigned bib number.  

 

We will have a bag check zone if you don’t want to go back to your car. This is a family environment with a great kids play zone.

 

We will have a table at the finish line shoot for first 15 male and first 15 female 5K finishers so be sure to grab one if they are still there when you finish your distance. The 5K will be scored by Race Splitter but results ARE purposely not posted at the venue so we can maintain our light hearted group of non-competitive runners and walkers. You can find your finish time in overall results later in the afternoon at www.727CanRace.com  We also bring additional top finisher’s frames for seniors and our younger runners so if you had an exceptional day (any age) let Suzanne know at the microphone and we’ll award you for your performance! Age group awards slow down the day and we have used this method the last 7 years and it works out BEAUTIFULLY for the laid back group of runners we attract. We are the number once search for travelers looking for a local 5K as we limit our runs to 400 participants so let us know when you arrive which state or country you have travelled from. About 70% of our participants are from out of town and WE LOVE TO HAVE ALL OF YOU!

 

After the post race party we encourage you to walk downtown to see exactly what all the rave is about Dunedin, Florida from our shops, restaurants, 13 breweries, and amazing marina district. Dunedin is also home to the famous Honeymoon Island State Park so make a day of it if you can. Thanks for joining us and we look forward to seeing you race morning!
