On national kidney month, I, as a living donor, invite you to come Join Us for a family friendly run/walk to celebrate life. Honoring my father, a kidney transplant recipient for seven years. Mr. Rosendo Gonzalez, and my strong, beautiful mother, Maria Magdalena Gonzalez. Kidney disease is known as the "silent epidemic" because it often shows no signs until it is more advanced. This year's focus is to raise awareness on kidney disease and take charge of your health and the many factors that go into managing your kidney disease. My mission is to unite and strengthen the donation and transplant community to save lives. 

WHY PARTICIPATE?

My goal is to give back to the community and help raise awareness for kidney disease while emphasizing the need for more registered organ donors. Mr. Rosendo Gonzalez was diagnosed with stage four kidney disease at the age of 53 and immediately started dialysis in December 2010. He was on the waiting list for a kidney transplant during his four years receiving dialysis. On November 14, 2014 I decided to take action and become his living donor, we were 99% compatible. On January 7, 2015 Mr Gonzalez received his kidney transplant and is now healthier than ever. 
Funds raised through this year's "Dare To Share 5K" will support three families in need of a kidney transplant.
Since kidneys come in pairs, you have the unique opportunity to be part of this great cause and act out of love to help prolong others life. 
Regardless of how or where you participate, we hope you will join us on March 5, 2022 to show support for kidney disease patients. 

REGISTRATION

$25 5K includes: shirt, finisher medal, running bib, and a professionally timed. START time at 5:30 pm
$15 Kids Fun Run Registration includes: finisher medal START time at 4:00 pm
$30 Virtual 5K registration includes: Shirt and finisher medal to be mailed out on March 8, 2022
