What: GonnawannaKICKagin'- Kickball GonnawannaKICKagin' is a co-ed Kickball program dedicated to teach skills and understanding of the game. Our coaches and staff will use their expertise, modeling, and visuals to help our players adapt and play the community sport we all love! We hope to increase our athlete’s physical endurance and coordination, attention, and social interaction through team play. Who: Volunteers must be between the ages of 10-40 years old Volunteers will follow/model directions/activities and actively engage with participants with autism. Training is not required, but volunteers are expected to behave in a mature and responsible manner. Volunteers need not to be proficient in the sport. A volunteer's primary purpose is social engagement and modeling. Where: Virginia Wesleyan University 5817 Wesleyan Drive Virginia Beach, VA 23455 On dry days please dress participant appropriately for outdoor play. On rainy days, we will move play indoors to the gym. When: September 10- October 29, 2022 on Saturday mornings from 9:15-10:30pm PLEASE NOTE: On October 8, we will meet on the field at Heritage United Methodist Church (this is VWU's homecoming weekend) Registration: Please register if you are interested in volunteering.
