Description

Gobble Wobble 5k Run / Walk is the beloved annual YMCA Thanksgiving 5K in the Greater Philadelphia region. This year, we have in-person and virtual options!

This race page is for our Willow Grove YMCA / Abington Early Learning Center in-person Gobble Wobble option. During the registration process, you will select if you want to participate in the 5k or walk using any of the sign-up options below. Please make sure to answer all questions in the registration process.

Directions to the Starting Line: The race start line is located approximately 3 miles South of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, Willow Grove exit, near the intersection of Route 611 (Old York Road) and Susquehanna Road, past Abington Memorial Hospital.

Course Info:

Starting Line: Runners and walkers will begin from the starting line on Huntingdon and Susquehanna Roads.

5K Runners: The run will take you through a quiet, residential area of Abington Township with rolling hills and will finish Olympic style on the track at Memorial Field.

2 Mile Walkers: Walkers will walk through a predominantly flat course with the last mile being parallel to the runner's final mile. Families, strollers, and all ages of participants are encouraged to join. This course is not timed.

Parking Info: Parking is available at the following locations: Wells Fargo Bank, Behind Vintage Restaurant, Abington Free Library, Abington Presbyterian Church, Abington Junior High.

• Packet Pickup will be Monday, 11/22 through Wednesday, 11/24 from 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM or Race Day from 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM

Not interested in running? 

Donate! Proceeds from Gobble Wobble will benefit our Financial Aid program. This program helps us fund camps, programs, and memberships for our underserved communities. We are able to use these donations to help send kids in need to camps; help fulfill memberships for low-income families; and more. 

Volunteer! We can always use more help making this a great event for everyone! With volunteer options like packet pickup during the week to race marshalls and clean up, there is a volunteer option for everyone who wants to help.

Swag/Merchandise:

Participants who sign up after 11:59 PM on November 23, 2021 will not be guaranteed to receive a shirt or medal on race day. All participants who registered after this time will be able to receive a shirt and medal at post-event swag pickup. 

We will provide pickup instructions to participants after the race.
