For more than 15 years the AAWALK Initiative has raised awareness of preventable health diseases that are killing black men and families in the urban communities across the country. Impacting more than 100,000 people nationwide, this initiative has provided screenings and material distribution in such health areas as blood pressure, blood glucose, diabetes, prostate, HIV, dental, vision, sexually transmitted disease, colon assessments and more. In addition to direct services and information provided to the communities, this initiative has partnered with thousands of individuals and organizations across the US over the years to empower communities by raising awareness and providing resources.
