Continuing our commitment to our ever-evolving neighborhood, Mandarin Oriental, Washington DC, its colleagues, family, and friends of Southwest D.C. are hosting the Tenth Annual FANtastic 5K Fun Run/Walk and Silent Auction to raise funds for Serve Your City / Ward 6 Mutual Aid, scheduled for Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. Registration and t-shirt pick up begins at 8:15a.m. Complimentary self-parking is available at the hotel and based upon availability. The run will start at the hotel's front drive and make its way around the scenic setting of the National Mall before returning to the hotel for a celebratory breakfast and silent auction. 

With the community's generous support over the last nine years, we have successfully raised over $302,000 for education and development efforts in the Southwest Washington, D.C. community. We are delighted to once again provide much needed support to our under-resourced youth and their families in our local community. Our efforts in 2019 produced $14,765 in funds that went towards STEM educational activities, resource centers, and educator training for Techbridge Girls.  

This year’s beneficiary is a local non-profit organization that provides black and brown youth the same resources and opportunities as other D.C. residents through tutoring, after-school enrichment, and life-saving support.  To learn more, please visit their website serveyourcitydc.org.
