Bailey’s Heart & Sole 5K

On Sunday, September 18, 2022, VolunTeen will be hosting our 2nd Annual 5K to honor the life of Bailey Bullock. This event should prove to be our biggest, most impactful, and most energetic event yet!  The 5k will be held at the The John Carroll School. The run kicks off with a great energetic dynamic warmup that will be sure to get your body ramped up for the day!  This will be a timed shotgun race. Once back at the entrance, grab a water and some snacks as we cheer on the remaining participants. When everyone has returned we will celebrate with a group picture and announce the winners for the 5k. 
 
Bailey passed away suddenly on May 12th, 2021.  He was our friend, teammate and classmate. Bailey Bullock attended the John Carroll School where he always pushed himself to excel academically. Bailey played football, basketball, and ran track. In his free time, he worked on building his computer, volunteering at Balmaine Manor Assisted Living, becoming a better athlete, playing video games with his friends, and most of all spending time with his family.
 
Bailey was just 16 years old.
 
VolunTeen is excited to be raising funds for Bailey's Heart & Soul Foundation. Their mission is to bring awareness of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) to high school communities, provide education and the necessary tools to respond to life-threatening cardiac medical emergencies, and enhance those events’ outcomes.  In addition, their goal is to create scholarships for student athletes graduating in 2023 (Bailey's class) for young up-and-coming athletic students who show promise in their chosen sport.
