Reindeer Dash 5K and 1-Mile Walk

Description

Ring in the holiday season with a Christmas fun run for the entire family. Don your best holiday apparel and jingle all the way down a 3.1-mile course (5K) or 1-mile walk along Pittman Wash Trail.  All fitness levels are welcome. Ages 5 and up.

Want to participate on your own? Sign up for our virtual fun run/walk and share your progress and photos with us on our Henderson Sports and Recreation Facebook page.

The first 300 participants (event and virtual combined) get a T-shirt, in-person 5K participants will also receive a medal. Virtual participants can pick up their shirts during packet pickup time and location listed below. 

Face coverings are required to participate.

Event Check-in

Participants will receive instructions two days prior to the event including their assigned time and a COVID-19 questionnaire. If participants answer yes to any of the COVID-19 questions, they cannot attend the event. Participants that cannot attend due to COVID-19 symptoms will receive a full refund. 

Participants must stay in their car until their assigned time. The check-in process includes a  temperature reading and COVID questionnaire.

Social Distancing

6-foot markers will be placed between participants and will always be required. 7-foot markers will be placed at the Start line. All participants must be on their markers before the start of their wave. Start lines for the 5K and 1-mile walk will be extended to accommodate social distancing. 

Staff will remind participants of social distancing as they run. Participants will be provided two warnings before they are asked to leave the event.

Sanitizing

Hand sanitizer will be available at the information table. Two sanitizing stations will be set up aloing the route. Staff will be sanitizing tables and benches throughout the event. Restrooms are available at the event and will be sanitized between waves. 

Face Coverings

Participants and staff are required to wear face coverings or face shields at all times. 

Spectators
Currently, spectators will not be allowed on site. This may change as we get closer to the event.

Time Limit

Participants will have 45 minutes to complete their 5K or 1-mile walk. After 45 minutes the course is cleared for the next wave of participants.
