This annual Rotary charity event is through Burnham Beeches, (near Farnham Common Bucks), one of the most spectacular natural woodlands in the country. Our races offer challenging running for serious runners as well as fun and enjoyment for those not so competitive.
There will be organised parking, a well marked out course, tented registration, security for personal belongings, trained marshalls, medical support as well as nearby refreshments & toilets.
Burnham Beeches Rotary will be donating funds raised by this event to Thames Valley Air Ambulance, British Heart Foundation and other Rotary charities.
The only entrance is via the A355 along Beeches Road to Lord Mayor's Drive.
We endeavour to accept as many runners as possible. However, parking is limited and access difficult, so if possible car share and please arrive early. There is a £3 charge for parking in Burnham Beeches collected by ticket machine or attendant. Marshalls will be on duty at the Lord Mayor's Drive entrance and will direct you to the parking areas.
Registration opens at 9.00 am in the tent signposted by the bright yellow Rotary Club banners. Individual runners will register in alphabetical order (by last name), Group and Sponsored runners at the separate desk.
There are no changing facilities, so please arrive in running kit. It is advisable to have a selection of warm clothes, and a change of socks/shoes with the possibility of cold, wet weather and a muddy course.
Race numbers will be provided at the registration desk on the day. The race number must be attached to the front of your running top. Do not remove the tag as it will be read at the finish. Runners must run with the number allocated to them. THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT, especially in the event of an accident. This is a condition for entering the race, any runner identified as not doing this will be disqualified and barred from future events. If you lose your number report to the information desk.
These are situated near to the main car park by the Beeches cafe. Please allow plenty of time before the start in order not to cause delays.
A covered area is provided for runners' left luggage and this will be attended throughout the race. Whilst every care will be taken the organisers will not be responsible for lost or misplaced items.
The course will be marked with arrows. No signs and you are going wrong! Please obey the marshals’ instructions. They are there for your convenience and safety as any cross country course has many potential risks. Should an accident occur, please ensure that the marshals are informed immediately.
First aiders will be in attendance at the finish. If you feel unwell, contact a marshal who will arrange help.
Stay in order once you have crossed the line. Keep moving down the funnel, so your correct time/position can be recorded.
Drinks will be available near the finish after the race. There is also a café near the start that will serve more substantial refreshments and snacks.
The race results will be posted on this web site within 3 days of the finish
Entry fees will not be refunded even in the event of circumstances beyond our control leading to the cancellation of this event.
