It's a  FULL FIESTA party run! Live Mariachi.  Folclórico dancing. Festive food. 

Race, run, walk, or jog . Huge, unique custom cast medals with moving parts and a baby soft tech shirt fully designed front and back. NEW DESIGN each year. 

Come celebrate Mexican Culture with us. And be as victorious in your pursuit of health as those soldados were in their victory at the Battle of Puebla.  Sign up for 5K or 5 miles or run the 1-mile family fun run.   Have fun meeting people while celebrating culture. Running is universal.

RACE LOCATION:  This year at BOLSA CHICA STATE BEACH (lot 25.)

PARKING:  Come in the main gate at 17851 Pacific Coast Hwy, Huntington Beach, Ca. 92649 and turn right, going to the very last lot which is closest to Warner and PCH.  Have $15 in cash ready at the gate per car, or a park pass.  Credit cards slow down the entry process for other cars.   You can also find limited free and hourly parking behind the Jack in the Box on PCH and Warner and along that inner road in Sunset Beach, and jog into the state park on running sidewalk. 

EARLY RACE PACKET PICK-UP (for your convenience) or you may pick up the bib and shirt on race day at the race site.  You may pick up for others.

6:30 am  Registration OPENS
               Shirts are given with bibs at registration.  Medals when you finish

7:45 am to 8:15 am Folclórico Performance, Dancing Horses, Mariachi Music

8:00 am START of Cinco de Mile fun run. (1 Mile) 

8:15 am START of Kid's Carrera. (400 yards) 

8:30 am Mass START of 5K/5 Mile

9:15 am Start of 5k AWARDS CEREMONY

9:30 am Start of the 5-mile AWARD CEREMONY

Bring EXTRA CASH FOR STREET TACOS, AGUA FRESCA, FRESH FRUIT, GALLETINAS AND SPECIALTY COFFEES.

AGE DIVISION AWARDS:

5-year Age Spans:  3 deep with 5-year age spans:  5k and 5 Mile  1-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39 40-44, 45-49, 50-54,55-59 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80&over 

Top  3 Overall Trophies to Males & Females     Plus award to Oldest finisher. Youngest finisher. 

Pets: Friendly Pets are allowed and must be leashed at all times and accompanied by a Run /Walk participant.  Please use a leash of 5 ft or less, for the safety of all pets and runners.  Line up towards the back of the pack at the start and keep to the side of the race field on the course.

Stroller: Families can bring strollers, but agree to use at their own risk.  We do ask that you line up towards the back of the pack at the start and keep to the side of the race field on the course. Note, that only registered participants with a BIB will receive a finisher medal.

Please make sure your BIB is in the front and visible to our volunteers.  And watch for cyclists enjoying the same beach bike path you are running on.

The race will take place rain or shine.  RESTROOMS are in the public buildings at the end of each of the parking lots.
