Thank you for signing up, running, and submitting results. Most important, your registrations help us fulfil our goal to support the six local LGBTQ charities. We deeply thank you. If you missed the virtual after race party, you can catch it here. Click here to view the submitted results. Scroll down to the next section to see the top finishers we just announced. We hope that you will join us next year. We are hopeful that it will be June 2021 and in person. Stay healthy and always celebrate pride, love, and community.
Thank you for participating in our first-ever virtual Pride Run 5K! Please look at the following last minute message.
Thank you for your patience and for signing up to run our first-ever virtual Pride Run 5K! As you know, this year's race is a bit different, but we are excited for our virtual race that kicks off tomorrow.
Here is what you have to know:
What is a virtual race: Unlike our previous 7 DCFR Pride Run 5K, this year is different. Due to the Pandemic, we are unable to gather at the Historical Congressional Cemetery in Washington DC, hear the beautiful rendition of the National Anthem by the Gay Men's Chorus of Washington, DC, be cheered on by the DC's Different Drummers, cheerleaders from Cheer DC, and the DC Aquatics Club swimmers, cross the finish line, and gather to have a festive celebration with all our sponsors in a fading summer evening. Instead, we are celebrating pride, community, and resilience, by running or walking (possibly prancing and skipping) the 5K distance (just in case you don't know, its 3.1 miles) wherever you are during the period of Oct 1 to 10. Be sure you print your Bib, wear it proudly, and post your picture on social media (see below). You can do this on your own, with friends while wearing a mask and/or maintaining safe distance, or with your family. You can challenge yourself by running as hard as possible or you can just participate. Its all up to you. You can submit your result to potentially be awarded with an age group medal or you can keep your result to yourself.
Getting your digital bib:
Race packet (including race shirt): We have some great swag, including discount coupons generosity provided by Pacers Running, DC Brau, and Knead Hospitality + Design. Digital discount coupons will be emailed to you. If you ordered a race shirt, we'll share more information on delivery or distribution in the future, which will either be available for pickup at Pacers or mailed. Unfortunately we are unable to get the race shirt and other swag to you before the race. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
Share your race experience: Because we can't see you race in person, we DEFINITELY want to hear from you on your race day! Use the hashtag #dcfrpriderun and tag us on social media (Facebook -- DC Front Runners Pride Run 5K, and Instagram -- @DCPrideRun).
Submitting race results: You can submit results between midnight on Oct. 1, 2020 until 12 noon on Oct. 10, 2020. You can run as many times as you want, but only submit your best result. Every submission will overwrite the previous result. It is a 5K, so be sure to run 3.1 miles. You can submit your results either through your RunSignup Profile or by going to https://runsignup.com/Race/Results/55272. Click on Submit Virtual Results. Enter the name you registered with the race. Click Lookup Registration. Once you verify your information, click Submit Virtual Results. The rest should be intuitive.
Virtual post-race party: We are hosting a virtual party at 2 p.m. on Oct. 10 on the Pride Run 5K Facebook page. We will recognize our top finishers, sponsors and charities.
Continue the pride celebration: The Capital Pride Alliance has two events and they are offering DCFR Pride Run 5K participants discount. (1) For Out Brigade: Learn more or register. (2) For Pride Stride: Learn more, and be sure to use this discount code: StillWeRun (If you have questions, contact [email protected] directly)
