Register today for the 2022 Run for the House! The Ronald McDonald House of Mid-Michigan is excited to announce the partnership of our Title Sponsor, Michigan State University Federal Credit Union!
Together, we are bringing back in-person racing with our 5K race and we are SO EXCITED to see all of you! We will continue to offer a virtual option for the 5K and 10K.
Open Start Line: 10:00-10:20am
How does an open start line work?
Start the 5K run/walk any time between 10:00 - 10:20 a.m. For those looking to race a competitive time, line up to start at 9:55 a.m. After the competitive start, keep an eye on the start line and begin your run/walk when you feel comfortable. The starting line area on the campus of MSUFCU will be wide, and the space is open to allow for social distancing. You do not have to feel rushed to get to the starting line. Start your race when you are ready. Timing does not start until you cross the timing mats!
*Shirt opt-out option available!
At the Ronald McDonald House of Mid-Michigan, our purpose is keeping families close to the care their sick children need, and providing comfort, support and resources for families just steps from the hospital. We can't wait to bring you the 2022 Run for the House in person for the first time since 2019, and continue our commitment to keep families safe while keeping them close.
Many of our House "alumni" return year after year for the Run, but may have immunocompromised children or children too young to be vaccinated. To ensure our in-person Run is accessible to all our House alumni families, we request all attendees wear a mask before and after the 2022 Run for the House. Those running/walking are permitted to remove their masks during the race. Spectators are asked to remain masked.
We ask all attendees to maintain social distancing as much as possible while at the Run for the House, especially at the race start line. Bib chips will not start racers time until you cross the starting line.
Employees of the Ronald McDonald House of Mid-Michigan are Sparrow employees. As a result, we follow the Sparrow Health System staff guidelines for masking as outlined in Sparrow's COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Plan, available here: https://www.sparrow.org/sites/default/files/2021-04/covid-19-preparedness-and-response-plan_12.02.20.pdf.
All Run staff and Run volunteers are required to wear masks while volunteering at the Run for the House including on the course and anywhere on the Run for the House site. We thank you for your willingness to ensure a safe and supportive environment for our House families, and all those who support the House.
Help make a difference for families of seriously ill children. Your participation in the Run for the House 5K Run/Walk, 10K Run and Kids Run will help the Ronald McDonald House of Mid-Michigan provide a home-away-from-home for those families who have a child being hospitalized or receiving treatment at Lansing-area hospitals and clinics. The House offers a comfortable, inexpensive and private place for families to sleep, eat and relax. Here families find a caring atmosphere where they can receive strength and encouragement from others who are also going through difficult times.
