September 4 Update on Shirts and Medals:  Registration remains open, so you can still register for the race.

 We've reached our pre-ordered limit on shirts, so everyone who registered before September 4th can pick up a souvenir race shirt and race medal at packet pickup.  Click here for the detailed race weekend schedule.

All those who register on September 4th or later can pick up a race medallion at packet pickup, but will be asked to wait until after the race to pick up a shirt, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Souvenir Update:

The first 1000 registrants receive the souvenir stained glass medallion (pictured here).

The first 900 registrants can pick up a souvenir shirt at packet pickup. Speaking of the souvenir shirt: check out the new maroon shirt design!  We had thought that we'd go with an orange shirt, but based on feedback we've changed to this awesome maroon desert-themed design.  It's a light technical shirt, in women's cut and unisex cut.

Run inspired by the beauty of the Painted Hills and the majesty of the Tucson Mountains, with panoramic views of the Tucson Basin.  The 10k course starts at Pima College West and cruises the iconic rolling hills of the Tucson Mountains near scenic Starr Pass and Gates Pass.  The 5k course also starts at Pima West and is an out-and-back route. Staging is in the shaded middle courtyard at Pima Community College, West Campus, providing an enjoyable space for pre-race and post-race activities of music, activities, and snacks & food trucks.

2024 PLANNED SCHEDULE

September 7, 2024: 10am-1pm Packet pickup at The Running Shop, 3055 North Campbell Ave, Tucson

• Yes: All race bib numbers for the 10k and 5k will be inside the Running Shop. 
• Yes: People can still register, with registration via RunSIgnup, cash or check.
• Yes: You can pick up items for friends -- please limit the number of packet pickups if it is crowded
• Yes: Shirt sizing is first come, first served limited to all who registered on or before August 3rd
• Yes: Souvenir medallions to the first 1000 registrants can be picked up
• Yes: You can shop at the Running Shop and buy super-cool running items

September 8, 2024: Race Day

5:30 am: Registration and Packet Pick-up, west courtyard at 2202 W Anklam Road

• Yes: People can still register, with registration via RunSignup, cash or check.
• Yes: You can pick up items for friends -- please limit the number of packet pickups if it is crowded
• Yes: Shirt sizing is first come, first served limited to all who registered on or before August 3rd

6:15 am: Start TMC Tucson 10k

6:25 am: Start 5k Run/Walk

8:00 am: Finish line closes, awards

9:00 am: Event breakdown

Race Directors: The SAR-calendared event was created by Randy and Tia Accetta and the Run Tucson team, and is the 2nd leg of the 2024 Gabe Zimmerman Triple Crown.

Developed by Tucson's premier event producing team, Run Tucson, in partnership with Arizona's largest non-profit running club, the Southern Arizona Roadrunners.  We are  RRCA race director certified.

(We are super grateful to Damion for all of his efforts on behalf of the endurance community -- not only does he spend hours on the bike at our races, but he then spends hours at the computer fixing and fiddling with the photos. On top of that, he is a bike volunteer at Sabino Canyon and El Tour.)
