1st Virtual Find Their Footing 5K Race
DATE: Friday, May 1st to Sunday, May 3rd 

While we are sad we had to cancel our traditional 5k, we refuse to let it get our spirits down. Instead we are launching AFTH’s First Virtual 5k. With Social Distancing at the forefront, we have reinvented our 5k to accommodate our current situation. We still want to open the opportunity for people everywhere to come together, not in-person but in support of a great cause!

How does a virtual 5k work?

Participants sign up and run/walk the 5k anywhere they can between the time frame giving to complete the race. Once you complete your 5k (3.1 miles), you will then submit your time to our website, and we will mail a medal to you for completing the 5k!

How do we know you actually ran the 5k?

We trust that you will run/walk the race at your own time. That is why we give you a whole weekend to complete the 5k rather than a set date and time. You can also share Instagram stories, pictures or send us videos proving that you are running! We will then use this content to post on our social media accounts.

With your help, Adoptions From The Heart raised approximately $2,000 for the AFTH Expecting and Birthparent Support Fund in our 2019 race! Register for the 2020 5k and help us make this year even more spectacular!

This Fund supports men and women who have worked with Adoptions From The Heart, both before and after pregnancy. AFTH has worked with thousands of pregnant women considering adoption. Each person is facing unique challenges, and many find themselves in need of a little additional financial support to help with housing, food, transportation etc. in order to regain their footing. Those in need are not demanding financial help but are silently trying to find a way out. A little financial relief from difficult circumstances can make a huge difference, and Adoptions From The Heart has seen it propel men and women into a better place with ongoing stability.
