Description

This USATF 3.1 mile course runs through the Historic Town of Funkstown and parts of Washington County. Course is closed to traffic from 7:50am-9:00am. Traffic will be stopped for runners at certain points on the course. Official time will be kept professionally by Racine Multi-sports. Once the time limit has expired, runners/walkers must move to road shoulders and sidewalks and continue, unassisted, at their own risk. Course maps and race details will be emailed to participants, available online and posted at the event.

In cooperation with the Funkstown Animal Health Clinic, the Funkstown 5K is a dog friendly event. For an additional $5 you may register your dog. ALL pre-registered dogs will recieve a Pooch Packet that will include: special treats for your dog, a special Funkstown 5K bib, and waste clean up bags. All dogs must be accompanied by a registered participant. Dogs must be on a leash at all times. For safety of all participants, retractable leashes are prohibited. If you are participating with your dog, please start in the back of the heat. We expect participants to clean up after their dogs. Owners are responsible for their dogs at all times.
