Description

I:40 Race Service with the help of the Muskogee Running Club and Muskogee Parks & Recreation will host the the Okie Half on March 16, 2024.   Okie Half 2024 will feature a flat certified course that starts/finishes inside the newly restored "Hanger 1", now called the Hatbox Events Center.  This will also be the USATF Oklahoma Half Marathon State Championship and will be a great flat half marathon course for runners of any pace to enjoy.  The 5k course will also be on the flat track, mostly on the loop trail around Hatbox Sports Complex. 

There will be lots of goodies and extras with this event including:

- Short sleeve shirt for the Half & 5k runners  

- Finishers Socks for Half Finishers  

- Custom finishers medals for half finishers!!

- BBQ Meal afterwards for Half Runners, and snanks for 5k Runners

Packet Pick Up/Late Registration:  The packet pickup will be on Friday evening March 15th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Hatbox Events Center - 630 S 40th Street Muskogee, OK.  This is also where the race will start and finish the following morning. You do not have to pick up your packet on Friday.  They will be available on race day starting at 6:30 am.  In-person registration will be available on Friday and Saturday.

Start Times: 7:45 am for the Half, 8:00 am for the 5k

Time Limit: For the half marathon the time limit is 4:15 (Must finish by noon).

USATF Certified Courses: Both the 5k and Half Marathon course will be on flat and certified courses.  Click here to see course maps at okiehalf.com 

USATF Oklahoma Half Marathon State Championships - There will be male and female state champion crowned at this event.  In order to be eligible to win, you must an Oklahoma resident and a current member of USATF - Click here for USATF Membership information 

Medals & Awards:

- All the Half Marathoners will get a custom finishers medal! 

- There will be age group medals for the 5k

- One a kind trophies for the top 3 Male and Female overall winners of the half (separate from USATF Championships) and the 5k. 

Shirts: 5k runners and Half Marathon Runners will get a J America Wash Out Soft T-shirt.  Please register by March 3rd to get your shirt size guaranteed. 

After Race Food:  A Half Marathon entry includes a meal at the finish line from Mother Tucker's BBQ Food Truck.  5k participants and spectators are welcome to purchase a meal.  There will also be cold food and drinks provided to 5k and Half participants.
