As of September 1st, we're still planning on an in-person race with a flexible start from 9am to 10:45am. All participants do have the option, however, to transfer or register for the virtual race option. If you have any additional questions, contact us via the form at the bottom of the race page.


 


Come join Eaton County Parks and Recreation for our Third annual Timber Trails 5K at scenic Fitzgerald Park in Grand Ledge! This run/walk will take you on a slightly challenging course with ranging elevation over grass, gravel roads, and wooded trails. A perfect way to enjoy a brisk fall morning in one of the most beautiful parks in Eaton County.  All ages are encouraged to join! Early registration includes a long sleeve t-shirt. Shirts are not guaranteed after 10/02, and will be available as supplies last.


Special Group/Family pricing is available so grab your friends, grab your family and sign up together! Register 3 or more people at the same time and save $3 per participant.


Awards: Top Overall Male & Female. Top Masters Male & Female. Medals to the top three runners in each age group: Age Groups for Male and Female runners:  10 & Under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+


All race registrants will have the park entry fee waived.  


Stay Safe Race Procedures for 2020 - In Person


Flexible start time: Start the race any time between 9am and 10:45am. There will be no crowded mass start. Keep an eye on the start line and begin your race when it is free of other participants. No more than 5 people will start at a time.  The start line will be wide, and the space is very open to allow for proper social distancing. You do not have to feel rushed to get to the starting line. Start when you are ready and at your own pace.


Packet Pickup/Check-in area:  The packet pickup/check-in area will be spaced out to allow ample room for social distancing. All race volunteers will be wearing a mask. We encourage participants to wear a mask when picking up their packet. Packet pick up will be held on race day, starting at 7:45 am until 9:45 am at the pavilion in the park


 Staff and Volunteers: All staff and volunteers will wear a face mask.


 Participants: We encourage participants to wear a face mask while picking up their packet and at the start of the race. 


 Water Stations: We will provide bottled water at the finish of the race. There will be no water stations on the course. Bring your own water for the course.


 Hand Sanitizer will be located in various areas near packet pickup


 


Donate and SAVE! If you would like to support our cause and get a discounted race entry fee donate $50 and we'll give you $10 off your entry fee. Donate $25 and we'll give you $5 off your entry fee.  Simply Sign Up and follow the steps to register and on the donation screen enter $50 or $25. The discount will be applied during checkout.  Proceeds will benefit Eaton County Parks & Recreation trail development. Thank you for your support!


Packet Pickup and Race Day Registration will begin at 7:45 AM the morning of the event. 


The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be posted during the race and on the web at Playmakers.com.
