SO CAL'S BEST THEMED BEACH & POLYNESIAN PARTY...on the BEACH!!  It's a yearly EXPERIENCE & a TRADITION! Started in 2014. 

BOLSA CHICA STATE BEACH   17851 Pacific Coast Hwy, Huntington Beach, Ca 92649   LOT 25 

This great beach location is just west of Huntington City Beach and Dog Beach In Huntingtin Beach.  East of Sunset Beach. 

TIKI BEACH 5k/10K. is YOUR LIVELY race with LIVE Polynesian Drummers and Dancers!  It's your end of the summer BEACH PARTY RUN!

Coconuts, palm trees, grass skirts, and the TAPUA PRODUCTION drummers and dancers make this the BEST BEACH BASH, healthy RUNNER's Party! ' Every participant gets a Hawaiian-style race shirt and the BEST EVER CUSTOM CAST FINISHER MEDAL! It's a TIKI! 

CAREN WARE EVENTS are RFID CHIP Timed by ITZ ABOUT TIME and the ' coolest' age division awards and overall finisher trophies.

 5-year age spans for both 5k & 10K.  Top three overall male and female in both races.  

REFRESHMENTS: Coconut and Banana Pancakes, specialty coffee, and street tacos are served from 7:15 am to 10 am.  Bring a little $. Enjoy the expo area and great selfie moments.

COURSE:  Flat and fast, or slow and easy out and backs.

Make it the pace you want it.  The 5K/10K routes are both out and back courses on the paved beach path.  Listen to the waves with a beachside view. Stage at the start in corals suited for your pace.  Your course start time does not start until you enter under the arch.  Make sure you have the correct bib for the distance you are running.  Wear that bib pinned TO THE FRONT.

• Custom Cast Finishers Medal (great addition to your collection!)
• Tiki Beach custom shirt
• Chip timed and a custom race bib
• Water and fruit at the finish line
• Chance for Age division awards and overall Trophies

EARLY RACE PACKET PICK UP at SPORTS BASEMENT from noon to 3 pm 
  DATE: Saturday, September 27
  Location:  10800 Kalama River Ave  Fountain Valley, Ca. 92708                     

  (You can pick up for others. No ID required. You may also pick up race morning at the race site.)

AWARDS:    Top Three Male/Female Awards. There are “In It To Win It” age categories 3 deep with 5-year age spans:  5k and 10K
1-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39 40-44, 45-49, 50-54,55-59 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80&over

4th prize for running in more than 3 Caren Ware Events races.

RACE DAY SCHEDULE:  

6:30 am Vendors arrive and set up.
              Volunteers arrive and check-in
7 am-8:30 Registration OPEN
                Shirts and bibs are available for pick up on race day 
6:30 am to 10 am   Polynesian Party Expo open for participants

8:15 kid's dash and 1 mile

8:30 am Mass Start for 10K and 5K.

9:10 am BEGINS 5k  AWARDS CEREMONY 

9:40 BEGINS 10K  AWARDS CEREMONY

PARKING:

• EVENT in LOT 25 of Bolsa Chica State Beach. (Closest to the corner of Warner and PCH)  State Park charges $15 per car.  You must enter at the main gate on PCH.  Public parking is available behind the Jack in the Box in Sunset Beach.  You will have to walk from there into the State Park via the sidewalk. RESTROOMS are open and located on each end of lot 25. 

The race will take place rain or sunny!
