Join us Sat. Sept. 24, 2022 for the 8th annual Run for the Trails. Proceeds from this event go to the Run for the Trails fund which will be used to create & maintain a recreational trail system throughout the Oconto Falls area. Events include a timed 1/2 Marathon run, 10K run/walk and 5K run/walk through beautiful Oconto Falls. The course will be well marked with course markers and cones, well supported and most of all fun!  The 1/2 Marathon and 10K will take advantage of our beautiful area wooded trails, scenic neighborhoods and waterfront views. Participants in all events will travel on the new high school trail created thanks to generous donors and proceeds from the past Run for the Trails races!

Event Overview:

The 1/2 Marathon and 10K are timed events that will take you through residential streets, scenic and wooded trails with varying terrain that are well groomed and will enjoy waterfront views of the Oconto River.  The 5K is a timed run/walk that will wind through the residential streets of our city and the newly created paved recreational trail by the high school.

Included in your registration:

1/2 Marathon, 10K & 5K participants receive a custom Run for the Trails soft-blend, quality long sleeve t-shirt and finisher medals!  All finishers are age/gender group and overall awards eligible. There will be post race food and refreshments available.

Packet Pick-up & Walk-up Registration:
Fri. Sept. 23, 4:00-6:30 p.m. at the Oconto Falls High School Commons and Sat. Sept. 24 from 6:30 - 7:45 a.m. at the ST Paper Stadium, Oconto Falls High School, 210 N. Farm Rd., Oconto Falls, WI 54154 (look for signs).

Other details:
Water stops approximately every 2 to 2.5 miles for the 1/2 Marathon, 10K and 5K.
T-shirts are ONLY guaranteed to those that pre-register by the cut-off date of 8/29/2022. Registrants not registered by the t-shirt order cut-off date and same day registrants are not guaranteed a shirt.
Age/gender group awards will be presented to the top 3 in each age/gender division and overall male and overall female winners will be awarded. (Awards: Men and Women ages 13 & under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 & over. Overall male & overall female in each distance).
