NEW FOR 2021. Runners must park at TBA Paris Mountain is not allowing our race to park inside the facility due to the size of the event. We are arranging a shuttle service from a local church for the event. Sorry for the inconvenience and added cost during your registration. The shuttle fee is $10 per runner that will go directly to the church that is hosting us and out shuttle drivers. ALL Runners must utilize the shuttle to gain access to the park prior to opening but once the park opens if you have spectators or family that would like to come watch or pick you up after the race is over that is permitted. The shuttles will be leaving every 5 minutes from 6:00am to 7:00am to drive runners the mile down the road to shelter # 3. The last shuttle will leave at 7:00am and not return. At the duration of the event our shuttles will take runners back to Mountain Creek Baptist Church or you can arrange to have your spectator/family pick you up once the park opens for normal business hours.

Paris Mountain Course Description

The 50k will consist of two 15.5 mile loops starting and finishing at Shelter #3. The total distance covers 8,500 feet of elevation change, goes around 3 different lakes, ascends 3 gentle climbs. You may see deer, squirrels, birds, snakes, and a variety of other wildlife. The course offers single track dirt, rugged and wide switchbacks, along with steep climbs. There are two waterfalls and 3 beautiful lakes. The course does have a 1 mile section of road on an out and back to the 2nd aid station. The course will have a series of directional arrows (both yellow and green) that will be placed  at various intersections. Please follow all directional arrows to stay on course. In the event that you make a wrong turn please backtrack to your original spot of confusion. Cutting the course (even if unintentionally will lead to a disqualification)

Course Cutoff

Aid Stations

There are three aid stations on course during the 15 mile loop. These locations are Mile 4.5 (Brissy Ridge and Sulfur Springs Parking Lot) Mile 11 (Camp Buckhorn Gate) - Mile 15.5. The Aid station will include such items: salt, crackers, cookies, pickles, oranges, water , tailwind, and soda. This is a CUPLESS event as runners are required to have their own hydration carrying bottles or packs. Our aid station volunteers are not there to service your every need so be self reliant.
