You're taught from a young age to stop, drop and roll if your clothes catch fire. In the spirit of that practice, let's substitute run in the mix! The Stop, Drop and Run 5K Run/Walk is just the way to do it! You can also run with a firefighter! Come join some of Porter Fire Department's finest who will be running in their gear and challenge them and yourself!
The Porter Firefighters are raising funds to continue to outfit our new fire engine with needed equipment! As in previous years, Porter Fire Department is pledging to donate a portion of funds raised to the Warren "Skip" Highwood Memorial Foundation, an organization that awards scholarships to individuals pursuing a career in emergency services as well as annually sponsoring a child to send him/her to the Hoosier Burn Camp.
