The historic Moore & Giles Virginia 10 Miler will celebrate its 50th year running on September 28, 2024. Join more than 3,000 runners on a historic course that has hosted participants from around the globe. The 10 mile run, 4+ mile run/walk, and Amazing Mile Children's Run invite men, women, and children of all ages and abilities to participate. The festivities begin Thursday night with packet pick-up, continue Friday with the Amazing Mile Children’s Run, and a fun, family-friendly festival in downtown Lynchburg. On Saturday, thousands will take part in the 10 mile run and our 4+ mile run/walk. The Lynchburg Road Runners Club, founded in 1973 to organize the Virginia 10 Miler, continues to own and organize the Moore & Giles 10 Miler and its associated events.
