Unfortunately, life doesn't stop lifing just so that we can focus on new goals. Take this as a reminder that you're getting stronger each day to deal with the physical and mental obstacles of life. If you're feeling overwhelmed by trying to juggle your real responsibilities with your training, take time to focus on controlling the controllable.
1. Do you have a flexible schedule to manage all of the things?
2. Do you have support with your responsibilities and new challenges?
3. Are you building a plan that is realistic for your current life?
4. Where are you scheduling time to breathe, decompress and focus on your nervous system?
Remember that training is supposed to fit into your life. Your life is not going to open up to fit training. Take the time to really look at the whole picture and focus on building the plan that works on the good days and the bad. If you're experiencing overwhelm, stress and anxiety managing your busy calendar, where can you carve out 5 minutes to do your squats and lunges? Are you building habits around your routine? Drink a glass of water after you brush your teeth? Schedule an alarm that reminds you to move your body regularly instead of allowing your work schedule to consume all of your time?
Your life will not change overnight. Training is meant to build on itself and get you stronger each week. Keep building those mental and physical muscles. It all adds up. You're getting stronger each day. Keep going!
