About This Race
Description
Spend time in the original home of the Arapaho, Cheyenne, Lakota, and Ute people of Colorado. Emphasizing the history, cultural practices, and stewardship of indigenous people, a Park Ranger highlights the deep connections they had to their environment. As you listen, acknowledge and learn a newfound respect for the original caretakers of this land that we now call home. Children under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
The nearest address is 6350 Gateway Road. Turn on to Gateway Road from Prairie Parkway and drive .25 miles. Look for the parking area and the restroom after the bend in the road. If you enter the Arsenal, you have gone too far. Meet at the restrooms and we will walk to the shade pavilion (0.15 miles from the restroom). Please bring water, hat, sunblock, snacks and close-toed shoes.
