HOW YOUR REGISTRATION HELPS
Recess by the Lake has partnered with UpTheGood Foundation - Powered by REV to benefit ACCESS of Wilmington.
UpTheGood Foundation is resiliency. By investing in each other, and investing in our communities, we can create a ripple effect of generosity. It's not just about creating something new, but about joining forces to create meaningful and long-lasting change.
ACCESS of Wilmington - is a nonprofit organization operating 4 programs eliminating barriers to health and wellness through sports, recreation and fitness for those in our community with disabilities.
ACCESS of Wilmington began in 2008 to raise funds to build The Miracle Field and Kiwanis Miracle Playground in Wilmington, North Carolina. Since Opening Day August 2013, hundreds of children and adults living with physical, intellectual, and invisible disabilities have utilized the 33,000 square foot rubberized Miracle Field to experience the joy of adapted sports, recreation and fitness, often for the very first time! Countless numbers of families have also visited the Kiwanis Miracle Playground, the largest wheelchair accessible playground in NC, which has become a benchmark for accessible playgrounds across the region!
