About This Race

Race for the Refuge is a trail race held at the Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge in Sudbury, Massachusetts. Participants choose from 10km to 30km distances or a timed event of up to 6 hours. The race coincides with National Public Lands and Waters Day. Proceeds benefit the Friends of Woodlands and Waters and other local charities.

6-Hour Trail Race
As many loops as desired. Runners must start their last lap before 2pm and the last loop must be completed before 3:00pm to be counted towards final mileage.

Pacer for 6-hour Race
Pacers may start at noon or later and must register and check-in to receive a pacer bib. No muling and only one pacer per runner at a time. Pacers may use the aid station at no cost.
