About This Race
Porter Fire's Stop, Drop and Run 5K is a run/walk at Hawthorne Park in Porter, IN, organized by the Porter Firefighters to raise funds for essential gear, training, and dive response development. A portion of funds is donated to the Warren "Skip" Highwood Memorial Foundation, which awards scholarships for emergency services careers. The course is a street and bike trail loop starting and finishing at Hawthorne Park, and the race is chip timed.

Water stations at fire station (approx. 1.25 mile and 2.25 mile).
Awards
Medals for top 3 finishers by gender and age bracket; Top Overall Male & Female; Top 3 Male and Female in age groups 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and up.
