About This Race

The Pecan Grove Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving Day event in Richmond, Texas, hosted by The Thankful Ones to support local foster children and adoptive families in Greater Fort Bend County and the Houston area. The event includes a chip-timed 5K, a 1 Mile Kids Timed Trot, and a 1 Mile Adoption Awareness Walk, plus a Kids Zone, music, and a vendor and sponsor row. Funds raised support the Adoptive Family Grant Award Program, which has awarded over $200,000 in adoption assistance grants since 2022.
