10K 10K
There is a distance for everyone at the NODM. The Olympic Medical Center (OMC) 5K/10K has been a favorite for folks who travel with marathoners and want to stretch their own legs. It is also a fun community event that celebrates healthy living on the Olympic Peninsula. You are invited to participate in the 5K|3.1 miles or 10K|6.2 miles, run or walk. It isn’t uncommon to spot eagles, seals, and an array of shore birds along the course. The 5K and 10K events finish under the same banner as the Marathon and Half Marathon (City Pier in Port Angeles). The event is chip-timed and all athletes receive a high-quality race t-shirt. OMC employees receive a discount entry. Contact [email protected] for coupon code.

Kids Marathon Marathon
Kids are an important part of Marathon weekend. Participants from all over the United States and many countries come to the Olympic Peninsula to run in the Marathon. These adults train all year long to be in shape to run the distance. Kids have the opportunity to run their own marathon! Using the NODM mileage log, kids track 25 miles for 6 -10 weeks leading up to Marathon weekend. They set their own weekly goals, record their miles and earn rewards. The kids will run the last 1.2 miles the day before the marathon under the same finish line as all of the marathon runners. Our mission is to promote kids’ health and fitness and to promote the marathon weekend as a family festival.

Marathon Walk Marathon
The North Olympic Discovery Marathon is pleased to welcome the walker as an integral part of the best boutique marathon in North America. We strive to provide each participant with all of the services and assistance equally regardless of pace or place. That being said, we want to take this opportunity to provide you with all of the information you need to make your Marathon Walk the best experience possible. We have based our start times and water station operating times on a 15 minute per mile (4 miles per hour) walker. Flexibility for faster and slower paces have been built in to accommodate the natural variations that will occur. Special Instructions Please carry the food and drink that you will need for the first eight miles of your walk. The first water stop will be at mile 8. After mile 8, we anticipate that the Marathon runners will be joining you and the marathon course and water stations will be in complete operation. For the first 8 miles, early start walkers will need to follow the course marking signs and stay on the Olympic Discovery Trail.
