Mojave Run the Runway 5k 2026

The annual "Run The Runway" 5K hosted by the Mojave Fitness Center will take place on Saturday, October 10th at 8:00am.  Join us for a Halloween themed 5K as we run on the iconic and historic 3 mile long Mojave Airport runway!  You'll get the once in a lifetime experience of running on the same strip of pavement as the fighter planes of WW2, the Virgin Galactic Unity Spaceship, and the world's largest plane, Stratolaunch!!

FAQ:

What ages can participate in the 5K race?

All ages can participate in the 5K Race.  Children under 11 are free. 

Children and youth ages 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times. 

What is the pet policy?

No pets allowed. 

Where do I pick-up my bib?

Race Packets & Bibs will be available on Thursday & Friday, October 8th & 9th at the Fitness Center from 6am-7pm

Packets can also be picked up on race day Saturday, October 10th starting at 7:15am at the fitness center: 1247 Poole St, Mojave CA. 93501.

Where do I park?

Parking will be available in the available parking spaces just south of the fitness center (paved spaces)

How do I get to and from the race?

It is recommended to use your own personal vehicle or to carpool with another race participant to arrive on time.

Do you have opportunities to train for the race?

Yes, we will have several classes available at the fitness center as well as personal training available to get you ready!

Do you offer timing chips? 

No, we do not offer timing chips. We will have a Finishing Timer Clock at the finish line and will start the race clock with the first corral.

What happens if there is rain?

The race will be held rain or shine. 

 Restrooms

Restrooms are located inside of the Fitness Center.

Covid-19 Protocol:

If you are feeling ill, have a fever or any flu/covid like symptoms, please stay home. Should any changes come through from the state or county that prohibits the race to happen in person, we will still hold the race virtually for all participants. There will be no refunds if the race is held virtually.
