Headstrong 5K

Join us on Saturday, October 3, 2026, for the second annual Headstrong 5K! 💙

The Headstrong 5K was created in memory of loved ones lost too soon to brain aneurysms. What began as a deeply personal way to honor their lives has grown into an annual community event dedicated to raising awareness, bringing people together, and supporting the important work of the Brain Aneurysm Foundation.

I lost my mother, Karen Canale, to a brain aneurysm when I was just 12 years old. My co-organizer also lost her uncle, David Savage, to a brain aneurysm. Together, we are committed to honoring their memories while helping educate others about this often silent and overlooked condition.

Whether you’re an experienced runner, a casual walker, or simply want to support an important cause, the Headstrong 5K welcomes everyone. Every participant helps make a difference.

📍 Proposed Location: Marshfield, MA (pending final town approval).

We are excited to share that the Marshfield Select Board has been very supportive of our event, and we are currently completing the town’s application process before final approval. We will update all participants as soon as the location is officially confirmed.
