About This Race

The Downeast Dash is a 5K and 1-Mile Run/Walk in Machias, Maine, beginning and ending at the Maine Veterans' Home parking lot. All profits are donated to the Maine Veterans' Home in Machias to support care for veterans, and a post-race lunch follows with the residents. After the race, participants can stay for raffle prizes donated by race sponsors.
