About This Race
The LaChute Road Runners Club welcomes you to experience a scenic 5K cross-country course through trails, roads, and fields, guided by the powerful symbolism of the lighthouse as a beacon of HOPE and the bridge as a connection to education and support. This event raises awareness about online safety with the Prevention Team/Safe Harbour NY Essex County while encouraging personal connection and well-being through the NYS Parks Wellness Challenge: “Get Offline, Get Outside”.
There is a 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk option along the scenic 5K cross-country course to encourage family participation.
Run/Walk Together, Making Memories One Mile at a Time
For the safety and enjoyment of all, youth participants age 15 and under must be accompanied by a caregiver (parent, guardian, or responsible adult) throughout the entire event. This is a family-friendly walk/run, and we invite caregivers to join the fun, support their youth, and make great memories together!
Dog Policy: For the safety of all participants and spectators, dogs are not permitted on the race course or in the start/finish area. Only service animals, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act, are permitted.
Stroller Policy: Strollers are permitted in the event. Both the participant pushing the stroller and the child in the stroller must be registered for the race. All stroller participants must start at the back of the field, maintain full control of the stroller at all times, yield to other participants, and follow instructions from race officials. The course includes trails, roads, and fields, so participants should use caution throughout the event. A stroller acknowledgment must be signed at race day packet pickup prior to participation with a stroller.
STUDENTS 18 & UNDER: Thanks to a generous private donor, the registration fee for students 18 and under has been waived. Students must still register by September 1st for a FREE T-shirt.
*SHIRTS: Register by September 1st to guarantee an event T-shirt.
