About This Race
The 10th annual Bark in the Park 5K will take place at the Sequoia Park in Eureka on October 17th! Every year Humboldt Bay Fire Local 652 takes all the proceeds of the race and donates them to a animal charity. This years recipient is Sequoia Humane Society whose mission is to be a community leader in promoting the humane treatment of all animals, and end pet overpopulation by providing a high standard of care and through programs such as pet adoption, spay and neuter and community education. This race isn't just for two legged racers you can bring your dogs and run with them too! The route goes through the unique landscape of the Sequoia park where you're surrounded by majestic redwoods that the park is named after.
