About This Race
The Alger Heights Halloween 5k is a volunteer-led, neighborhood-focused 5k fun run through the scenic Alger Heights neighborhood in Grand Rapids, Michigan during peak fall colors. Now in its 14th edition, all participants are chip timed and encouraged to run, walk, or stroll in costume. The event includes a Community Costume Contest and a Neighborhood Cheer Contest open to residents along the route.

Medals and sponsor prizes for top 3 overall winners in men's, women's, and nonbinary divisions and age categories (18 under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, Over 60).
