Kick off an unforgettable Adventure Weekend at Oak Mountain with an event for the whole family! Whether you're racing to the finish line, enjoying a scenic walk, or cheering on your little runner, the Firetower 5K, 2-Mile Walk, and Kids Fun Run offer something for everyone.
The 5K course begins in the base area of Oak Mountain, takes a right onto Elm Lake Road, a left down the sidewalk through downtown Speculator and turn left to run around the Firetower and then back up the sidewalk, right onto Elm Lake Road and left back up to Oak Mountain's base area. It is filled with Adirondack scenery, and a fun, welcoming atmosphere for runners and walkers of all abilities.

All proceeds benefit Youth Winter Activities for Hamilton County, helping local children enjoy skiing, snowboarding, and outdoor recreation throughout the winter season.
Make it a weekend of adventure! Stay and enjoy Oak Mountain's hiking and biking trails, join us for Karaoke Saturday night and then come back on Sunday, August 23, for the Oakrunner Trail Run 5K/10K, featuring even more mountain fun, community spirit, and Adirondack adventure.
