Rising 777 feet above the prairie, Elkhart Hill has served as a landmark for Native peoples, early settlers, and travelers for centuries.

The Trail Run offers participants a rare opportunity to explore the hill’s private trails, winding through old‑growth timber, historic sites, and panoramic overlooks. The event is designed to promote outdoor recreation, heritage tourism, and environmental stewardship.
