About This Race
Join the Southern Virginia University (SVU) community for the Annual Knight Run during Homecoming weekend.
The festivities kick off with the race, followed by a post-race celebration. There will be food trucks, music, and family activities for all to enjoy. After the celebration, stick around and cheer on the SVU Knights football team at 1:00 PM at Knight Stadium.
8:00 AM: Volunteer & Staff Check-in and Briefing
8:30 AM: Race Day Registration & Packet Pickup Opens
9:15 AM: 5k Participants to the Starting Line / Welcome Remarks / National Anthem
9:30 AM: Knight Run 5k Starts
10:30 AM: Knights and Training Obstacle Course (for kids 3-10 years)
10:45 AM: Post-Race Awards Ceremony (Top Finishers, Age Groups, etc.)
10:30-1:00 PM is the Alumni Tailgate! We will have food trucks, live music, and yard games to enjoy.
COSTUME CONTEST! Including:
- fastest person wearing a costume
- best group costume
- scariest costume
- most creative costume
- funniest costume
- best school spirit costume
- best dressed
- Best Dressed Kid
Early Bird Pricing (ends September 30) = $30 (receive a foam sword to "CHAAAAARGE!" with in the race)
Pricing after = $35

1st, 2nd, 3rd women
1st, 2nd, 3rd Junior Knights (under 10)
