Zeta Omega 5K Run/Walk For Scholarship

The 5K/1-Mile Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at The Bedford Reservation, Egbert Picnic Area at 9:00 am.

This “health meets education” event will feature runners and walkers of all ages from around Northeast Ohio who care about and believe in, helping to educate our promising college-bound youth beyond high school. Over the years, the Zeta Omega Scholarship Fund has donated thousands of dollars to exemplary students in need throughout Northeast Ohio and this year will be no different. The Zeta Omega Run/Walk itself has helped the Zeta Omega Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and the Fund to provide over $15,000 in scholarships over the past 5 years.

The 10th Annual Zeta Omega Run/Walk for Scholarship will feature over 150 participants that will either face the challenge of walking the established 1-mile course or of running the rigorous 5K route along the Buckeye Trail at Egbert Park.

All attendees can enjoy the sounds of professional DJ Professional (Bro. Arlen Henson) before and after the race and receive a Zeta Omega Run/Walk t-shirt, post-race refreshments/snacks, a sponsor-driven swag bag filled with goodies keepsakes and health education vendors on site. 

Cash awards will be provided to the top three overall male and female runners of the 5K as well as to the top finisher awards in respective age groups.

You must register by August 22nd, in order to guarantee a T-shirt on race day.
