About This Race

Carmel Marathon Weekend returns for its 17th year in 2027 in Carmel, Indiana, offering Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K distances. It is one of the top Boston Marathon qualifying events, known for fast times and ideal conditions. The flat to rolling courses highlight some of the most beautiful parts of Carmel.

Carmel Marathon Marathon
The specially designed 26.2 mile USATF certified course is flat and fast! Enjoy the first 13 miles with the half marathoners on easy, flat roads as you run back to the start/finish celebration area. The second half takes you on a long, shaded paved park trail slightly downhill before you circle back to return to the Carmel Arts and Design District, and the Palladium at the Center for the Performing Arts. Over 21% of our finishers ran BQ times in 2024.

Carmel Half Marathon Half Marathon
As the one of the top-5 largest half marathons in Indiana, the Carmel Half Marathon will not disappoint! The course is fast and festive as you will run the entire 13.1 miles with the marathoners. Perfect training run for those signed up for a spring marathon. Cash purse + age group awards three deep helps make this a fun, competitive event. It will sell out.

Carmel 10k 10K
The 10K starts with the 5K the splits after mile one. The first half has a few hills but the second half of the 10K is fast. Save your strength and enjoy the strong finish to the finish line. Age group awards for the top 3 in each age group.

Carmel 5k 5K
The 5K has become a must run in the Spring! The 5K and 10K start together and split after mile 1 navigating through MidTown until you reach the Monon Greenway. Then you follow the same course back to the finish line as all the rest.
