About This Race
The Blue Sky Marathon & Half takes place on the trails between Horsetooth Mountain Park and the Devil's Backbone Open Space near Fort Collins, Colorado. The marathon covers 26.7 miles with 3,500 feet of gain and the half covers 13.4 miles, both run almost entirely on dirt singletrack including the redstone hardpack of the Blue Sky Trail. With moderate elevation change and generous cut-offs, the courses suit both veteran trail runners and first-time trail racers.
