About This Race

Fall 2026 Kids 5K is an eight-week youth running class in Cary, North Carolina, brought by Triangle Run Smart Training. The class is geared toward kids aged 8 to 14 of all levels and builds their endurance to run a 5K by the end of the season. Kids are grouped into pace groups after a timed mile. Coaches Patti Tiernan and Tara Wind lead the class at New Hope Church Trailhead Park, and registration includes a medal and a training shirt.
