About This Race
The Sully Freedom Fun Run/Walk is an annual event in Sully, IA, marking its 31st year on July 4, 2026. It offers a 1 mile and 5k race through the relatively flat and tree-lined streets of Sully, plus a free kids race for those 8 years and younger. Plaques and age-category medals are awarded to top finishers, and runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are encouraged to participate.

In the 1 mile race, plaques are awarded to the overall male and female winners. In the 5k race, the top 3 males and top 3 females receive plaques, while the top 3 finishers in 11 different age categories receive medals.
