About This Race
The Flying Falcon Downhill Mile is a fully paved 1-mile road race down Academy Drive at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. The course drops roughly 220 feet from start to finish, helping runners chase a personal best. The event features music, post-race refreshments, and scenery throughout the course. It is hosted by the USAFA Marathon Club on August 16, 2026.
