Get ready to run, play, and explore with HREC Cross Country! Designed for 1st–5th graders of all experience levels, this fun and active program introduces young runners to the exciting world of cross country on the beautiful Crocker / North School campuses.
Participants will build endurance, confidence, teamwork, and healthy habits through games, running challenges, obstacle courses, and age-appropriate workouts. Whether your child is a seasoned runner or trying cross country for the very first time, this program focuses on encouragement, personal growth, and having fun while staying active outdoors.
Practices and mini-races will take place throughout the Crocker / North campus areas, giving runners a chance to explore different routes and terrains while making new friends and developing a love for running. Perfect for energetic kids looking to stay active, challenge themselves, and be part of a supportive team atmosphere!
There is also the possibility of hosting a fun end-of-season cross country meet where friends and family can come cheer on our runners and celebrate all of their hard work and progress throughout the season!
